In a neighborhood one would not expect to find such a terrific Mexican restaurant with vegetarian choices. This eatery has an entire vegetarian section of the menu with interesting sides, appetizers and entrees such as napoles (cactus), corn gorditas, corn empanada and various burritos. Many of these vegetarian dishes can be vegan if you ask for no cheese. The guacamole is made to order to the spiciness preference of the customer.

A favorite dish, the Vegetarian Tasting, contains a variety of vegetarian items on a single dish (this menu item contains quinoa & citrus salad, soft taco, vegetables, cedar-roasted tofu, mango chutney), and can be made vegan minus the cheese on the taco. The cedar plank roasted tofu is another favorite vegan item. Most of the foods are grown locally, and there is a seasonal menu, so items change throughout the year based on availability. Most nights you can hear live music (pianist/vocalist) in the bar area.

However, if you inform the chef you are vegetarian or vegan, they will make a dish specifically for you that is not on the menu that will certainly not disappoint, but your choice will be limited to what produce is available at the time you order.

This location is not good for families with children due to the quiet/cozy atmosphere.
